Winter Wonderland Raffle

Winter Wonderland 2014
Dear Friends of Winter Wonderland
The countdown has started!  A mere two weeks to the Carnival Weekend.  Many exciting things happening – starting with the Winter Wonderland Ball on 28 June.

We are ‘a-buzz’ and excited with Gordon’s Bay’s “Winter Wonderland Festival of Lights” fast approaching. The red-carpet gala opening, the  “Winter Wonderland Ball” at the Lord Charles Hotel Ball Room on Sat 28 June will be produced by Richard Loring. With a 3-course dinner, fabulous dance band, wine and as a surprise bonus, Alvon Collisson will be joining Richard to present snippets of their show “Technicolor Memories”, tugging at nostalgic heart-strings of those who affectionately remember the ‘original South African’ “Joseph and his amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”. Lana English, star of “Phantom of the Opera” and Victor Siljeur will add their singing talents.

The Ball is the primary fundraiser to buy village lights for Winter Wonderland Festival of Lights 27 June – 28 July with the Carnival Weekend 4-6 July when the village will be alive with sparkling white lights, music, feasts and fairs, pavement parties and attractions. This community event also supports  Helderberg Hospice, Patch and Helderberg Animal Welfare.

We sincerely hope that you will be able to support us at this glamorous event – a wonderful opportunity invite friends, colleagues and business guests. Tickets  are R450pp – available individually or in tables of 10.

Please respond asap. Payment can be made by eft:  Nedbank Somerset West 114145, Savings Account “Winter Wonderland” 2003 320 210 Reference: Ball +your name/company + cell number. Should you be unable to attend but wish to offer a donation, this would be gratefully received.

The Craft Market, Fun Fair & Ghost House will all be open in the village from Friday 27 June.  A great start to the school holidays.  If you visit these places now, you will have more time for all the other fun and entertainment over the Carnival Weekend 4 – 6 July.

Winter Wonderland will be opened by Premier Helen Zille on Friday 4 July just after the Opening Parade which starts at 18h30 at the NG Church.

We are looking forward to sharing this unique event with you.  Please share with your friends.
